This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
havnt uploaded any work for a while, been painting lots though! am doing a series of oil paintings for my year long honours project, i am excited and feaked out at the same time! painting takes so long, i've been working on 5 for 6 weeks already and not one is finished.
hey love your style and i was wondering if you could tell me how you go about your style ? i have just recently started painting more and would love to be able to do some work at the standard you are ?
Heya, the most important thing ive found is to make sure you have good paint and brushes, they dont have to be top of the range but your going to struggle heaps if your materials dont do what they are supposed to.
Its important to find a scale that works well for you, i found that if i worked too big it was hard to make stuff look right and if i worked too small i couldnt put in the details i wanted to.
aside from that its just a matter of experimenting and working in thin layers. start off rough and refine with each layer, dont try and make it perfect from the first layer
I start off with the midtones of say the skin, then add the layers of browns/ reds/ blues to make the shadows building them up gradually to the right darkness then i add the highlights. its the highlights that makes the image stand out.
also its really important to have a good reference photo, make sure it has a good range of tones, its hard to paint something if the image is too light or dark.
I hope that helps some! and cheers for the compliment
